Some of your favorite couples are together because of cheating. I'm not just talking about iconic celebrity relationships like Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rossellini, but the people in your life have life-affirming, lifelong unions because one of them decided to cheat! I'm so grateful that my friend Ella's dad cheated on his girlfriend and Ella's mom cheated on her boyfriend at the same time, because if they hadn't cheated, Ella would have never been born! 

Unless you've had a decades-long relationship and have no continued contact with the person you cheated on, you're probably not going to brag about finding your current partner through cheating. There's a huge social stigma on it for a reason, and people are always trying to do whatever they can to avoid being judged by others. But for the most part, cheaters do deserve to be judged. It's not a morally neutral act by any means.

    I was in therapy until a couple of months ago. But it only made me realize how much I want to go no contact with my dad. He always fights for me though. The judge didn't listen to me in court either. Being 16 doesn't give me a say in any of this. And my mom could lose custody if I refused to go to my dad's house.

    Free_Fishing_5116 "my aunt told me i should have tried to be more mature about it" - F THAT SHI !!....Tell your aunt or whoever else that you DID try to be mature about it, that you wanted space from your dad for your own mental health, but your dad REFUSED to be mature about it - your dad was selfish before, he's selfish now, all he cares about is all he can get for himself, not what's best for you.
